More about voles
by: Larry

As I reread this I'm struck by the fact that I've never really had much problem with voles eating my plants.

Hydroponics system design would tend to keep them away from your plants by making it difficult to reach them - that is if you have a hydroponics garden outside like I do.

Besides I own two cats who are very efficient hunters.

Where I live my main animal pest is deer which seem to love eating vegetable plants and others such as sedum and hosta. They also make driving dangerous because they always seem to be in the road.

Voles
by: Larry

Voles are tiny rodents that pretty much look like mice. In fact they are often mistaken for mice.

The 'down-side' of voles is the fact that they have enormous appetites and will eat most of a small plant; roots, tubers, succulent leaves and stems...

In other words, you do not want them around your garden.
