Nutrient Film Technique
by: Larry

The Nutrient Film Technique is probably the type of system you are using. This means you are running nutrient solution continuously through a pvc pipe.

There is no set amount of inches of water you need. Merely set the pump at 1/2 to 3/4 if it adjustable - this would be a turn handle on the stem of the pump.

If it is not adjustable then the rate of flow will be good enough for the plants as long as the roots are in the nutrient solution.
