concerning the recipe with the garlic & onion, what do you do with the ingredients? chop or steep or ??

I have a bad problem with spider mites, scale & now aphids, so I'm very interested in more details.

Natural repellents
by: Larry

Remember that each ingredient of a 'natural' insect repellent has its own specific repellent properties.

Oil will repel, soap will suffocate, worm tea will apply bacteria to possibly eat the pest food source thus driving the pest away and ingredients such as garlic or onion will add repellent qualities.

When steeping an ingredient you want to provide the most surface area you can to be steeped so mincing is better than chopping and powder form is better than mincing.

Organic Pesticide

You can either chop up the onions and garlic and steep them for an hour or so or you can add it in powder form; 1 tablespoon each of onion and garlic powder.
